Junior VolunTIRRs is the young professional volunteer group that assists TIRR Foundation in its mission to improve the lives of people with physical disabilities. While the Junior VolunTIRRs support all of the initiatives of the Foundation, their focus is on children. Every year, the Juniors host a themed party to raise funds for various TIRR Foundation programs that specifically benefit physically challenged kids. On Saturday, January 30, 2010, the Junior VolunTIRRs hosted their 4th annual fundraising event, TV thru Time, at the House of Blues in Houston. Guests were encouraged to dress as their favorite TV star...think sitcom characters, reality stars, cartoon characters, game show hosts, SNL characters--no celebrity personality was off limits! Everyone enjoyed awesome tunes provided by Molly & the Ringwald's, great food and drinks, a photo booth, and so much more!
Proceeds were donated to both TIRR Hotwheels, a recreational basketball team for wheelchair dependent children, and Camp Extreme, a remarkable overnight camp specifically developed for kids with physical disabilities.
